Hello from Kakadu

Have now had a few days in Kakadu. For those of you who have not been up this part of the world I cant tell you how stunning it is. We are continuosly in awe of the things we are seeing. Yesterday we did some 4WD to get to Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. Swimming in beautiful pools underneath 200 metre cliff faces.
We did have to do quite a lot of hiking over boulders to get there. Will is proving to be a bit of a mountain goat and Ivy on the other hand, well lets just say I dont see her doing kakoda in this life. The boys saw there first alt Water croc last night while they were fishing (much excitement from Will). In Kakadu for another night. Off to see uranium mine today and then to Ubirr top of Kakadu to look at some aboriganal rock art. Tomorrow we will head to Darwin with a detour on the way for a cruise of the wetlands.

  1. Ahoy there Kennedy Family,

We are all enjoying your blog and living vicariously through you and your t-shirt wearing expeditions...no need for tshirts here at the end of the Woods I can assure you, although the sun did shine today which is always reassuring!

Harry says "Hi Will, are you having fun? Looks like it! I think maybe next time I should come too. If you catch a Croc maybe you could bring it back and we could put it in your dam. Have fun. Harry :) "

Nothing much to report from this end. My new job is going well, busy but good busy! Rowland boys are all good. If it ever stops raining for more than two consecutive days it would be great to be able to mow the lawns!! Oh the hum drum of life when you're not galavanting all over this wide red land of ours!!

Enjoy - travel safe. Love to you all
